The book contains valuable information about a specialized area of applied mathematics. The material presented in this book is applicable to problems involving quantum and electromagtnetic scattering at high frequencies. In the area of radar technology, the radar cross-section of a target is calculated using asymptotic evaluation of Fourier integrals that appear in the final form of the electric and magnetic field vectors following a solution to the appropriate boundary value problem, starting with Maxwell's equations.
To study the book, the reader must have had course on complex variables upto and including residue theory, infinite series, analytic continuation, conformal mapping and multivalued functions, plus a introductory knowledge of ordinary differential equations.
Without discussing the contents of each chapter, I can only comment that they are most lucid and intellectually satisfying; in particular chaps. 7 and 9 are most useful to practical problems
The contents of chapters 7 and 9 are widely applicable in various electrical engineering problems - short-pulse radars, high-frequnecy scattering, antenna theory and the like. The main advantage of using these asymptotic methods is that they reduce spectral integrals stemming from potential theory (Green's functions) are to " almost " closed form solutions that are not exact but computationally extremely helpful. In many cases, for example EM scattering by a circular cylinder, numerical results can only be obtained if asymptotic methods are applied at high frequencies. The use of asymptotic methods in engineering computation is primarily to reduce the c.p.u. time by several orders of magnitude as compared to exact calculations. This allows faster and more efficient solution to problems. The book is well organized and there are enough homework problems for the interested reader. A must pre-requisite for understanding the topic(s) is a reasonably good grasp of the theory functions of a complex variable, as mentioned at the begining of this review.

Ages 3-6. Kids will adore this big fat hen, and even though the book doesn't really work as the counting book it's supposed to be, the artwork is enough to carry it. The text is the old rhyme, "One, two, buckle my shoe," and the double-page spreads show the hen and her chicks (first appearing as eggs) enacting the words. On the pages on which the numbers appear, for instance, "5, 6," there are six eggs and five caterpillars, a dual concept that may be difficult for beginning counters to comprehend. The next page, "Pick up sticks," is even more chock-full, with chicks and lots of sticks everywhere. Children who want to skip the counting altogether can just enjoy the singsong text and the pictures executed in acrylic paints. The big fat hen is very large and quite beautiful, with iridescent green feathers accented with purple and red; her friends are just as lovely, all colors, some with delicate patterns in their feathers. With oversize characters and objects that can be seen at the very back of the room, this is a ready read-aloud for the story-hour set. Ilene Cooper

I bought this book sight unseen and absolutely love it. I'm a kinder teacher always on the prowl for books with folk stories and nursery rhymes. Big Fat hen is... 1,2 Buckle My Shoe. The illustrations are fabulous and the kids, love the rhyming. It's a popular pick in my classroom!

Our four month old grandson is fascinated with this book!

Our grandson loves this book and learned to turn the pages at four months. The coloring and graphics appeal to him. Another grandmother gave it to us and she was right on target. It is the only book we've found that holds his interest and that he doesn't chew instead of read.

Exciting, Interesting, & Full of Battles

This is a review dictated to me by my 10 year old son after he read this book:
This was about a boy who left his home in England because his uncle had given him money to go to India and become a rich merchant when the French and English were battling over who would rule India. Instead of becoming a rich merchant, the boy became a solider in the English army. He fought so well that he rose to officer rank. When he returned home, he was a colonial and had earned almost 100,000 pounds for winning battles. I liked that there was an action-packed war with plenty of battles in this book. I learned that some people can be very faithful if you do something kind for them and that even a cook can fight well. I think boys who like to read books with plenty of battles would especially enjoy this book.

Estupendo debut en el mundo de los libros, para esa novel escritora. Una historia fuerte, diferente, pero que seguramente atrapará a los amantes del género. Con un relato exquisito y ágil, Vero nos sumerge en el mundo de Ana y nos permite ir descubriendo su mundo interior.
Una historia que impacta, y que nos deja aguardando el desenlace…

Al principio es facil creer que este es un libro basado en BDSM y sexo mucho sexo, pero no es asi, tiene un trasfondo psicologico que lo hace muy pero que muy interesante.
Aqui tenemos a Ana una escritora ya en la cuarentena, con un hijo adolescente, me ha encantado el personaje de Ana, su forma de hablar tan clara, llana y divertida, eso ha hecho que el libro sea de facil lectura y muy divertido.
Cuando Ana conoce a Hernan se despierta en ella unos deseos de tener una relacion poco convecional, donde solo haya sexo, y sea ella la que tenga el control, la que domine y la que disfrute como nunca lo ha hecho en sus relaciones anteriores.
El personaje de Hernan me ha sorprendido, al principo crees una cosa y despues ves que es otra, es un personaje con un gran transfondo, no es lo que pinta al principo, lo que le da un giro al libro super interesante.
Tambien tenemos a Martin, primo de Hernan, un personaje que me enamorado con su vitalidad y su personalidad y que tambien despierta cositas en Ana, ya les dejo de tarea averiguar cuales.
En conclusion el libro me ha ENCANTADO, lo devore, no pude parar de leer, las escenas de sexo estan bien detalladas, y no son abrumadoras, solo hay las necesarias.
Se los recomiendo 100%.

Una novela que te lleva, literalmente, al séptimo cielo!

Ufff! qué les puedo decir! Con esta novela Verónica nos demuestra su increíble nivel de narración, ya que nos lleva a viajar el interior de Ana Inés de una forma clara y sin tapujos, logrando que entendamos a la perfección a la protagonista e incluso nos sintamos identificada con ella, además, el giro que le da a la historia es excelente! eso es algo que me gusta mucho porque no es una novela erótica convencional… no… tiene más elementos que la convierten en una historia llena de pasión, psicología y misterio, dejando a un lado el tema del “amor” como todos lo conocemos.

Una novela que, en definitiva, nos muestra como a veces, cumplir nuestras fantasías o deseos más profundos, pueden tener el poder de llevarnos al Séptimo Cielo… aunque honestamente, creo que lo mejor de lo mejor sucederá cuando lleguemos al Quinto Infierno... que por cierto, es el segundo libro de la bilogía.

¿Qué sucederá? NO LO SÉ! pero espero que Verónica logre su meta de llegar a las 200 ventas de este primer libro para que publique la segunda parte, así que ¡A COMPRAR! ¡Necesito saber en que terminará esta historia!
