I love Johns writings

I love Johns writings, but i find his theology to be off. I believe Christ died for the world, John does not. He is a hyper-calvinist. Also, I do not believe in Lordship salvation. I believe Lordship is works theology. They will not admit to this, but I think it is. He has some weird teaching with respect to Holy Spirit as well.
I still listen to him, but filter out the calvinist stuff.

I hope people leave aside their own opinions or the ones they have heard since their childhood and faithfully study the salvation as stated in the Scriptures would find this book basically explains what is written in the Scriptures.

Dr MacArthur is an excellent writer, efficiently conveying his thoughts, and completing his research before writing. I've come to trust his understanding of the Bible. For me, his intimacy with its Author is evident.
