Not For Non-Programmers

I majored in computer science once upon a time and still found this book somewhat over my head. Clearly meant for professional programmers and/or enthusiasts that wish to devote many hours to learning a new language. I was looking for a more "nuts and bolts" book of "this is how its done". Unfortunately this wasn't it.
